About this build

This Ford Mustang came through our Los Angeles studio as a utility platform build — truck and SUV bodies see harsher use than a sport sedan, so the priority is durable coverage at the impact zones. Gloss keeps the factory-paint depth front-and-centre while the colour shift carries the look. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

This coupe was refinished in a bright turquoise gloss wrap that gives the body a cleaner, more graphic presence. The finish is vivid without looking random, and the ceramic coating added afterward helps preserve the surface and simplify upkeep. Gloss materials reveal everything, so the prep work and panel placement had to be exact before the first section went down. The goal was to keep reflections smooth and uninterrupted from the hood through the side profile. The strongest color impact sits across the front fenders and the rear haunches above the wheel openings.

Why these finishes were combined

Ford builds with several finishes work when each layer is planned in sequence: the wrap delivers the colour and finish, the coating helps the vinyl shed dust and dead bugs between washes.
