About this build

This Mercedes C300 came through our Los Angeles studio as a performance daily-driver build — the finish call usually hangs on whether the owner wants the car to read factory-spec or visibly customized once it leaves our bay. Satin is the in-between choice — deeper than matte, calmer than gloss, and the most forgiving on day-to-day swirl marks. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

This sedan received a satin black vinyl wrap that gives the exterior a smooth low-reflection finish while maintaining sharp body definition. To introduce contrast, several design elements were highlighted with subtle pink accents integrated into trim pieces and exterior details. The wrap was completed with a ceramic coating layer to protect the film and simplify long-term maintenance. In Los Angeles traffic and sunlight, satin finishes tend to reveal surface texture more easily, so careful preparation and alignment were essential before installation began around the front grille and mirror housings.

What we used on this Mercedes

Why these finishes were combined

Mercedes builds with several finishes work when each layer is planned in sequence: the wrap delivers the colour and finish, the coating helps the vinyl shed dust and dead bugs between washes.
