About this build

This Tesla Model 3 Highland came through our Los Angeles studio as a electric platform build — EV-specific spec considerations come into play: glass curvature, charge-port edges, and the way battery heat moves through the cabin all factor into the install plan. The matte finish is the call when the owner wants the car to read low-profile under daylight and refuse to flash highlights at night. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

For this project, the latest sedan revision was fitted with a matte protective film to transform the reflective factory finish into a softer surface texture. The goal was to maintain the original color while introducing a more technical appearance and improving long-term durability. Once the film was installed, a ceramic coating was layered over the exterior to increase resistance to contaminants and simplify washing. Achieving a uniform matte texture required precise film tension across the large hood and door panels, followed by controlled heat treatment along the rear bumper edges.

What we used on this Tesla

Why these finishes were combined

Tesla builds with several finishes work when each layer is planned in sequence: PPF stops the impact and chemical hits, ceramic coating sits on top so washing the car takes a fraction of the time and grime does not bake in.

What to expect after the install

Every Tesla build at our Los Angeles studio includes a written aftercare brief and direct text-line access to the installer for the first month. Questions about your specific build — get a quote or call (424) 207-4435.
