About this build

This Tesla Model Y came through our Los Angeles studio as a electric platform build — EV-specific spec considerations come into play: glass curvature, charge-port edges, and the way battery heat moves through the cabin all factor into the install plan. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

This Tesla Model Y came in for a cabin transformation — the factory headliner was stripped and the entire roof liner, A-pillars and overhead console were retrimmed in premium suede. Once the suede was in place we mapped out and installed a fiber-optic star field, giving the owner a genuine night sky when the cabin lights drop.

Suede requires exact tension and pattern alignment during install or it will sag within months. We ran every fiber-optic strand by hand behind the liner so the density mimics real constellations rather than a uniform grid. See our starlight ceiling installation service page for the full process and pricing, or explore more custom cabin builds.

What we used on this Tesla

Why this finish was the right call

Headliner work is where a daily-driver becomes a personal car. Suede, Alcantara-style, or starlight fibre installs change the cabin character without touching the exterior at all. The OEM headliner panel is dropped, re-trimmed in matched material, and re-installed — on starlight builds individual fibres are routed through the foam backing first.

For long-distance LA commuters the cabin upgrade is felt every drive: the visual ceiling, the sound quality off the headliner, and the temperature feel against the head. It is also the easiest spot on the car to add personality without affecting the resale paperwork.

What to expect after the install

Every Tesla build at our Los Angeles studio includes a written aftercare brief and direct text-line access to the installer for the first month. Questions about your specific build — get a quote or call (424) 207-4435.
